Blueberry Floral Spritz

Paired with blueberry juice and cooling mint over soda water, it lands somewhere between a spritz and a floral cordial, and it drinks lighter than the deep colour suggests. Cane sugar does the sweetening, and there are no artificial sweeteners or functional additives in the can, a deliberate position for a brand that came out of New Orleans rather than the wellness aisle. Mockly's own serve is a chilled coupe with a sprig of fresh mint, and the mint aroma matters more than it sounds, since it sets up the rose before you taste it. Topping the glass with sparkling wine turns it into an actual spritz if alcohol is on the table. Otherwise drink it cold and straight from the fridge.
