A vodka alternative lives or dies on what it doesn't do. Crystal keeps things deliberately clean, built on vodka ingredients with black pepper and malt, clear in the glass and mint-fresh on the nose. Pepper arrives up front, then citrus and cereal notes trade places through the middle. The finish carries light bitterness and a little heat. Viscosity is noticeable too, which is why it holds its own in a glass rather than thinning out the way most neutral substitutes do. That neutrality is the whole point. Bloody marys, espresso martinis and passion fruit martinis all work without a competing flavour elbowing in. At roughly 2 calories per 25ml it's the lightest thing Smiling Wolf makes, and it carries the same blend of natural nootropics and B vitamins as the rest of the range. 0.5% ABV, low sugar, vegan friendly.
