Bitterness is the thing most alcohol-free drinks refuse to do, and it's exactly what a Negroni needs. Little Saints builds this one on gentian root, the bitter plant behind a lot of traditional aperitifs, with bitter orange, cinnamon, citrus rinds and lavender filling out the rest. What comes out is properly bitter rather than sweet with a bitter note bolted on at the end. The base is carbonated water and natural flavors drawn from those botanicals, sweetened with monk fruit juice concentrate that skips erythritol and sugar alcohols, plus organic reishi mushroom extract standardized to a minimum 70 percent beta glucan. Five calories, zero sugar, under 0.5% ABV. Pour it over ice with an orange slice and it holds up as an evening drink with no ceremony required. Megan Klein founded the company in 2021, selling out of a vending trailer in Detroit before any of this reached shelves.
