Lily Geiger started Figlia after losing her father to alcoholism when she was twenty, and built the brand around the idea that the non-alcoholic option should not be buried on the back page of a menu. Fiore is the flagship, a zero proof aperitivo aimed squarely at the spritz. The profile is rose, bitter orange and clove, floral and aromatic with a bitter edge that keeps it firmly adult. Behind those sit rosemary, elderflower, chamomile, lemon balm, ginger and lemon, over a base of white grape juice concentrate. It comes as a 750ml bottle, with a canned sparkling version if you want something portable. Figlia's own recommendation is the simplest one, poured over ice with an orange peel, and it is the right call. Add soda to lengthen it, or use it as the bitter component in a larger build.
