Elderberry Alcohol-Free Red Wine Alternative

Non-Alcoholic Red 0% ABV £10.00
Find Near Me

The winery calls this a mature soft drink for when non-alcoholic is required, which is a very Scottish way of putting it and also accurate. Sweetish, fragrant and a little earthy, with wild elderberry giving it the dark colour and the depth that lets it hold its own at a table where everyone else has red in their glass. It came after the elderflower bottle, built on the same idea once that one started collecting awards, and has been received about as well. Cairn o' Mohr makes it in the Carse of Gowrie in Perthshire, where the fruit and hedgerow ingredients are picked locally. A 75cl bottle at 0 percent, part of the Braes o' Gowrie range. Serve it chilled, and expect fruit rather than tannin, because this is a soft drink and not a dealcoholized wine.
