ArKay's Irish expression is one of roughly a dozen whiskies in the range, and the company's own listing says more about sensation than about flavor. The point, in its words, is that you feel like you are drinking something alcoholic, with the bite that implies. That bite is engineered. It comes from a food grade compound acting on the thermoreceptors in your mouth and throat rather than from ethanol, and it is the reason ArKay does not drink like flavored water. The base is spring water with natural flavors, so a serving has no alcohol, no sugar, no carbs and no calories. Treat it as a one for one stand in for Irish whiskey in a highball with ginger ale, in coffee, or over a single large cube. Pasteurized, sold by the liter, good for about two years unopened.

Tasting Notes
Overtones of smoky oak, with notes of barley, finishing with a very pleasant heat.
