Whisky

The unbadged one, and the closest thing ArKay has to a house whisky. Vanilla and oak lead, with barley, caramel, rye and corn filling in behind and a moderate warmth on the finish. This is the bottle to reach for when a recipe just says whiskey, so an Old Fashioned, a Kentucky Cooler, or a splash in coffee. Sugar, syrup and bitters all behave normally around it because the base is spring water and natural flavoring rather than a distilled spirit, so nothing in the glass fights the build. A serving contains no alcohol, no sugar, no carbs and no calories, and the heat that keeps it from tasting thin is a food grade compound ArKay developed for exactly that job. It was among the first expressions when Reynald Grattagliano launched the brand in 2011.
