Ghia makes its own ginger beer for this one, then spritzes the signature bitter aperitif with it. That is the difference between this can and most ginger drinks on the shelf. You get a brush of sweetness first and then a slow burn that builds rather than hits, all of it sitting on a bitter botanical base rather than sugar water. Underneath is the same aperitif as the rest of the Le Spritz line, built from white grape juice concentrate, yuzu, lemon balm, gentian root, elderflower, rhubarb root, orange and rosemary, with no added sugar, no caffeine and no artificial flavors. Gluten free and vegan, in 8.4 ounce cans. Serve it very cold. Add lime and ice and it does a fair impression of a mule, and it stands up to spicy food without backing off.
