Sumac and Chili

Spritz 0% ABV $19.50

The spicy one, and Ghia does not soften it. Tangy sumac supplies the sour edge and chili brings genuine heat, both riding on the same bitter aperitif base as the rest of the Le Spritz cans. The brand's own tasting note reads dry, very spicy, a little tangy and satisfyingly sour, which is unusually honest for a label. That base is built from white grape juice concentrate, yuzu, gentian root, lemon balm, elderflower, rhubarb root, ginger and rosemary, with no added sugar, no caffeine, nothing artificial, gluten free and vegan. Cans are 8.4 ounces. This is not the one to start with. Serve it very cold alongside something rich enough to cut through it, and keep it away from anyone who finds black pepper challenging.
