Tread Softly built its name on naturally lighter alcohol wines, and the Everything Except range takes that idea all the way to zero. This is the lighter bodied end of Shiraz, which is part of why it holds together without alcohol. Soft tannins, real restraint, and a persistent intensity that keeps the fruit going longer than most alcohol free reds manage. The winery suggests a cheese platter, and that is about right. It has enough grip for hard cheese without steamrolling anything. The sustainability angle is not decoration. The Australian brand is certified carbon neutral and a member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, and it has planted a native tree for every case sold since May 2019. That program passed its two millionth tree in October 2024, all in the Tread Softly Forest inside Western Australia's Yarra Yarra biodiversity corridor.
