Galicia is better known for crisp Albarino than for Cabernet, but that is where Hollow Leg has this red made and then de-alcoholised. The aroma leans into macerated strawberries and cherries, and the palate follows through bright and fruit forward, with fine tannins, fresh acidity and a clean dry finish. Nothing is added to sweeten it, and the ingredient list stays short: de-alcoholised wine, grape extract, natural flavour and sulphites. Hollow Leg's claim is that its process keeps the mouthfeel, taste and aroma of the original wine without odd flavour additives or sugar papering over the gaps. The numbers match the light framing, roughly 4 calories and 0.17g of sugar per 100ml, which works out near 6 calories in a 150ml glass. Serve it slightly chilled, around 16 to 18C, the way you would treat a lighter red.
