Alcohol Free Sparkling Rosé

Instead of making wine and then stripping the alcohol back out, Wild Idol never lets fermentation start. The grapes are harvested and pressed using traditional winemaking methods, then the juice is held cold for up to twelve months so the yeast never gets going. That sidesteps the heat and vacuum work dealcoholisation requires, which is usually where a zero proof wine loses its fruit. The rosé blends Muller-Thurgau with Merlot and pours a pale twilight pink under a fine, steady bead. Floral aromatics arrive first, then red fruit and crisp green apple, with gooseberry, rhubarb and grapefruit sharpening the edges before a long finish carrying vanilla and toasted almond. No added sugar, and roughly 25 calories per 100ml. The 750ml bottle is vegan, gluten free and Halal certified, and it has taken silver at the World Alcohol-Free Awards in both 2023 and 2024.
