Dark Rum

Ripe banana and caramel sit at the center of this one, with toasted spice, clove and star anise filling in the edges. It reads as a molasses heavy dark rum rather than a light one, and it closes with the gentle heat ArKay engineers into every bottle using a food grade compound that stimulates the same receptors alcohol does. There is no ethanol in it, and no sugar, carbs or calories either, because the base is spring water and natural flavoring rather than fermented cane. Use it at the measure you would use dark rum. Rum and cola is the obvious test, though it also does the heavy lifting in a Long Island Iced Tea or a tall glass with pineapple juice. Bottles are pasteurized, keep roughly two years, and are happiest stored somewhere cool and dark.
