Sparkling Wine

Crisp green apple, fall pear and a ripe melon finish is the shape of this one, and it is dry rather than the sugary sparkling most people have been burned by. Judges at Sunset's international wine competition gave it a Double Gold and Best of Class, which is unusual company for a dealcoholized bottle. What Jøyus is really selling is the ritual. The cork pops, the bubbles do what bubbles do, and nobody has to hold a different glass. The alcohol is removed gently to protect the aromatics, leaving it under 0.5% ABV with low sugar. Founder Jess Selander built the brand after seventeen years of not drinking, so the design choices come from someone who has actually stood through a lot of toasts. Serve it very cold, in a flute or a white wine glass.
