Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon again, this time with bubbles and at 0.0% alcohol. The nose is sweet red fruit, the palate is fresh and light, and the whole bottle is built for turning up with rather than deliberating over. The method is the same across the Natureo range. Grapes are harvested and pressed, the must ferments fully into wine, the wine is clarified, stabilized and filtered, and only then is the alcohol drawn off using purely physical processes. Torres has been running that sequence in Penedès since 2008, which is a long head start in a category this young. Drink it cold, 8 to 10 degrees, from whatever glass is nearest. It sits well with traditional tapas, cold meats, light vegetable dishes and pasta. For a mixed table where some people are drinking and some are not, this is the least awkward bottle to put in the middle.
