Clean Pinot Grigio

The third bottle in Waterbrook's Clean range, sitting alongside the Chardonnay and the Cabernet. Like both of those it begins as a finished wine and has the alcohol removed afterward, which is the meaningful difference between a dealcoholized wine and a flavored grape drink. Waterbrook itself is in Walla Walla, Washington, farms a 49-acre estate vineyard, and has collected more than 160 ninety-point scores across its range under lead winemaker John Freeman, who came to the winery in 2003 by way of Franciscan Vineyards and Miner Family in California. The team has also cut herbicide use by over 90 percent and eliminated glyphosate entirely. Pinot Grigio is the lightest and driest of the three styles here, which makes this the bottle to open before dinner or next to fish, salads and anything you would otherwise pour a crisp white with.
