If Vignette is the dinner red, Sanguine is the one you open on a weeknight without a plan. It is lighter and easier, built on red fruit and vibrant acidity, with raspberry, damson and blueberry showing through and a touch of spice underneath. The Tempranillo base comes from La Mancha, fermented as a full wine and then de-alcoholised gently enough to keep the aromatics, after which grape must and a little ginger juice go back in for body. The numbers are modest at 105 calories and 26 g of sugar across the 750 ml bottle. Vegan, contains sulphites. Give it fifteen minutes in the fridge before pouring. Alcohol free reds show their seams at room temperature, and a slight chill tightens the fruit and keeps the finish clean.
