Oak is the difference here. Ripe pear and yellow apple lead the nose, then vanilla sweetness and a touch of butterscotch come through from barrel, and the palate arrives rounder and richer than anything else in the Misty Cliffs range, closer to creme brulee in texture than to a lean coastal white. Summer fruit and gentle citrus layer over the oak, and the finish holds on for a while. Light straw-yellow in the glass, bright rather than heavy. That texture is what makes it one of the few alcohol-free whites that can sit next to creamy chicken, mushroom risotto, rich seafood or a soft cheese without disappearing under them, and it copes with gentle spice too. A 150ml pour is 15 calories, the bottle is 750ml, and there is no artificial flavoring involved.
