Swartland fruit sits behind this pale salmon rose, and the region shows in the aromatics. Orange blossom arrives first on the nose, then strawberry and a floral edge fill the palate before a light sweetness lands on the finish. Acidity holds the whole thing together, which matters more here than in a full-strength rose because there is no alcohol weight carrying the structure. Founder Jason Stanley hand-picks the Cape vineyards Misty Cliffs works with and partners with a winemaking team fluent in both traditional methods and newer alcohol-removal techniques, and nothing artificial goes into the flavoring. A 150ml pour comes to 20 calories, a fraction of what a regular glass costs you. Serve it properly chilled on a long afternoon with tapas, or treat it like any dry rose and set it next to charcuterie, cheese and food eaten with your hands.
