Sparkling Brut

Most alcohol free sparkling either strips a real wine or fakes one with juice. Altina does the first and then adds to it, taking premium Australian wine, gently removing the alcohol, and blending botanicals back in to rebuild the complexity that leaves with the ethanol. The Brut is built in the style of a sparkling Chardonnay, with native Australian peach and strawberry on top, bright acidity through the middle, and a toasty vanilla note on the finish that reads a little like bottle age. It comes corked in a 750ml bottle, so opening it carries the same ceremony as the real thing. Alcohol sits under 0.02% and a 150ml pour is about 23 calories, a fraction of what champagne costs you. Serve it very cold as an aperitif, or use it as the base of a spritz where you want structure rather than sugar.
