Meadowsweet grows wild in the old orchard meadows Manufaktur Jörg Geiger draws its fruit from, and it's the plant that gives this bottle its distinctive scent. On its own it would be too singular, so the house builds around it with a spread of herbs, blossoms and spices to reach balance and complexity. Rooibos and Pu-erh tea extracts do quiet structural work too, adding a tannic grip and a dry, tart finish that most alcohol-free reds never get near. The fruit is blackcurrant at 15 percent and aronia at 5, over an apple juice base, and the colour lands genuinely dark red rather than pink. Expect red berry on the nose, an acid lift, a spicy middle, and a dry close. Certified organic and vegan, 38 calories per 100ml. Serve at 8 to 10°C alongside dark meat.
