Lemon first, then ripe peach, then a soft vanilla note on the back end. That is the shape of Eisberg's alcohol free Chardonnay, and the vanilla is what keeps it from reading as plain grape juice. Like the rest of the range it begins as finished wine and then goes through vacuum distillation, a low pressure system that pulls the alcohol off at about 32°C so the wine never cooks and the aromatics largely survive. What is left is 0.0% ABV, vegan, and one of the lighter options on calories at 28 per 125ml glass with 4.5g of sugar per 100ml. Serve it cold, 5 to 7°C, in the same slot you would use a real Chardonnay. Eisberg suggests chicken and salad, and it works as a cooking wine any time a recipe wants white without the booze. 750ml bottle.
