Airen is the grape almost nobody outside Spain can name and almost every Spanish white drinker has had, since it covers more vineyard land there than any other white variety. Lussory makes it as a complete wine first and removes the alcohol afterwards, which is why the polyphenols that came off the fruit survive into the finished bottle. The house behind it is Dismark Products, based in Santiago de Compostela, and the entire 0.0 range carries Halal certification, which was its original point of difference. Gluten free and low in calories. Serve it genuinely cold, 7 to 9 degrees Celsius, and treat it as a table white rather than an aperitif. Lussory points it at fish, shellfish, rice dishes and salads, which is exactly where an Airen would go with the alcohol still in it.
