Muscat aromatics give this one away immediately. Terra Australis sits in Vintense's O°rigin range, which builds around a region rather than a grape, and the fruit comes from Australia. Straw yellow in the glass, it opens intense with muscatel and peach before developing a honeyed character, and the palate follows the same arc: soft, delicate and honeyed up front, with enough liveliness underneath to balance the round sweetness. The Belgian producer offers it as a stand-in for a full-bodied dry white, though that honeyed edge makes it friendlier than the description suggests. Serve it between 8 and 10 degrees as an aperitif, with tuna or with fruit desserts.
