Sweet wine gets treated as a lesser category, which ignores how well it handles food that wrecks a dry wine. Edenvale's Pink Moscato is unapologetically sweet, lightly fizzy, with rose petal and Turkish delight flavours carried on a soft spritz. It is made from selected South Eastern Australian grapes and dealcoholised after fermentation to under 0.5 percent alcohol, which counts as zero standard drinks. The ingredients are dealcoholised wine, grape juice concentrate and preservative. Where it earns its place is next to heat. Sweetness cools chilli in a way that dry wine cannot, so it works with spicy food, and it holds up beside salty snacks and creamy pasta. For dessert, strawberries in any form are the obvious match. Serve it properly cold.
