Edenvale's version keeps the template. Blackberry and currant aromas lead, oak and smoky spice sit behind, and the palate carries dark fruit and chocolate before finishing crisp rather than sticky. Fruit is drawn from South Eastern Australia and the wine is fully fermented before the alcohol comes out, landing under 0.5 percent and zero standard drinks. Pairing is where it gets interesting. Roast meats and barbecue are the safe answers, rich chocolate desserts work better than they should, and Edenvale genuinely recommends it with bacon and eggs at breakfast.
